New Chevrolet Equinox and Silverado on Display at Comerica Park

DURAND, Mich.–– The Detroit Tigers are celebrating Opening Day of the Major League Baseball season at Comerica Park, and Chevrolet has joined in the festivities by showcasing two of its new 2018 model vehicles on top of the fountain at the Tiger's home stadium. So all season long, when you take in a home Tigers game you can check out the new Chevrolet 2018 Equinox and 2018 Silverado 2500HD on display high above the Chevrolet Fountain behind center field at Comerica Park.

Chevrolet has sponsored the fountain, which features an array of water displays and the sound of a tiger growling after each Detroit home run, for the last eight seasons. The brand displays vehicles from its lineup each year and is excited to showcase the 2018 Equinox and 2018 Silverado 2500HD this season.

All Chevrolet products endure rigorous testing before they ever hit the road. So, there are no special treatments are done on the display vehicles to make sure they hold up and withstand the range of weather conditions that can occur during a baseball season in Michigan. Each vehicle spends 200 hours in the Climatic Wind Tunnel, which is specifically designed to simulate extreme weather conditions, including up to 152°F and as low as -40°F as well as wind/driving speeds up to 155 mph.
