DURAND, Mich.– Despite the general excitement surrounding a
slew of new 2016 model year vehicle releases from nearly every major automaker,
the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro has stolen the spotlight from competitors and other vehicle
classes alike.
Now, the spotlight is brighter than ever since an unnamed insider from Chevy recently disclosed a rumored 2016 Chevy Camaro release date
of August 13, although General Motors hasn’t corroborated the claim or denied
it. At the Camaro’s unveiling in Detroit last May, Chevy
divulged plans to begin 2016 Camaro production in Lansing, MI, this August, so
an earlier-than-expected release date, at least for pre-orders, could be very
possible.
Since the inaugural Camaro’s 1966 debut, many have claimed Chevy’s
pony car has struggled in the shadow of the Ford Mustang. But to understand how
superior the Camaro is to the Mustang and other competitors, you only need to
consult the sales numbers that show the Camaro has outsold the Mustang since
2010.
How do you get better sales than your competition? Through
better design, better technology and better performance. No wonder so many
enthusiasts are awaiting a confirmation of the rumored 2016 Chevy Camaro release date– people want this car!
While you can’t wholly rely on the words of one unnamed insider, it’s true that rumors like these usually point towards a reality. We suggest that you keep your eyes peeled and expect Chevy to come out with an official release date sometime in the near future. We can’t wait to add the next-generation Camaro to our inventory of New Chevy Cars and New Chevy Trucks at our Clio Chevrolet dealer!
